Annual Dinner Report

Dear Friends and Supporters,

Thank you for participating in the Chabad of Arizona’s 35th year anniversary dinner.

As anticipated, about 250 guests and members attended, with the event attracting many distinguished guests, members and new faces.

The dinner commenced with a silent auction and delicious hors devours.

As soon as the guests entered the ballroom the program began.

Event Chair, Leslie Levy, started off the evening by explaining what Chabad is all about and she then introduced Rabbi’s Dovie Shapiro and Berel Zaklikovsky, to lead the crowd in prayers for Israel and the United States.

A special video presentation starring Mendy Levertov, a 6 year old future Rabbi, was shown!

He explained the benefit of giving charity publicly so others follow your lead.

He ended the video by wishing a special Mazal Tov on 35 years of success to Rabbi and Mrs. Levertov.

Ron Pearson did a fabulous job entertaining the crowd. His humor and juggling show had the crowd laughing for close to an hour!

A live auction was held with items including court side tickets the Suns game and a gold and diamond ring!

Rabbi Zalman Levertov, director of Chabad of Arizona, addressed the crowd and thanked them for their continued support and friendship!

Rabbi Levertov also announced the opening of two more Chabad Centers in Arizona.

Rabbi and Mrs. Levertov presented Ken and Lucia Schnitzer, the evening’s honorees, with a beautiful Jerusalem stone charity box.

Ken gave a moving speech, thanking his family and the Chabad family for all their kindness and support the past few years.

Dr. and Mrs. Efrem Miller were honored with the Dr. of the Year Award. Rabbi and Mrs. Levertov presented them with a Jerusalem stone Challah tray.

Dr. Miller addressed the crowd and commented on the positive energy that everyone in the room felt.

The evening ended with a scrumptious dessert!

Thank you to all our sponsors, donors and volunteers for your generosity and support!

Looking forward to celebrating another 35 years of Chabad’s success and growth in Arizona!
